The second quarter of 2019, has been another strong quarter for the Real Estate Market in Essex Count Especially the Residential Sector. We experienced Year To Date 14.27% increase in average prices, although Total sales are up 5.54%. We did see a substantial 14.04% increase in total listings. The Third Quarter is presenting itself as another strong quarter for Essex County. We are still experiencing an influx of investors from out of town as well as people moving to our region, as we are still one on the most affordable areas to live and raise a family.
The market supply cannot satisfy the buyer supply which is still putting upward pressure on prices. This buyer’s market enforces more than ever the importance of Listing a home for sale on the MLS, as realtor’s do not have enough supply to show their abundance of buyer’s product.
