Below you will find the housing market statistics for Quarter 1, 2019. I give you a breakdown of the months of January, February and March, and compare them to the previous two years. This is my first of many quarterly statistics to come, so please enjoy!
The first quarter of 2019, has been another strong quarter for the Real Estate Market in Essex Count Especially the Residential Sector. We experienced a 16.44% increase in average prices, although Total sales are up 7.19%. We did see a substantial 15.81% increase in total listings. Real Estate in all sectors experienced an average increase of 12.2%. The second quarter is presenting itself as another strong quarter for Essex County. We are still experiencing an influx of investors from out of town as well as people moving to our region, as we are still one on the most affordable areas to live and raise a family.
The market supply cannot satisfy the buyer supply which is still putting upward pressure on prices. This buyer’s market enforces more than ever the importance of Listing a home for sale on the MLS, as realtor’s do not have enough supply to show their abundance of buyer’s product.
